TUCSON, Ariz. -

Arizona head coach David Rubio and the Wildcat volleyball team (15-10, 7-9) welcome Pac-12 newcomers Utah (14-10, 6-8) and Colorado (15-7, 8-6) to McKale Center this weekend. The Wildcats will take on the Utes on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. and the Buffs on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m.

Freshman Madi Kingdon (Phoenix, Ariz.) leads the team in kills with 269, while senior Cursty Jackson (Los Angeles) leads in hitting percentage (.313) and blocks (82). Sophomore Candace Nicholson (Long Beach, Calif.) leads in digs with 309 and joins senior teammate Courtney Karst (Centennial, Colo.) to lead the team in aces with 18 each. Freshman Chloe Mathis (La Jolla, Calif.) fulfills the setting duties for the Wildcats and Taylor Arizobal (Dana Hills, Calif.) and Rachel Rhoades (San Diego, Calif.) round out the starting lineup.

The Wildcats split at home last weekend, defeating Oregon State, 3-0, (25-20, 25-16, 25-17) and falling to No. 20 Oregon, 3-0 (25-22, 25-11, 29-27).

Utah (14-10, 6-8)

Series History vs. Utah
The Wildcats have won the last three matchups in the 19-match series dating back to 1977. The last time the Utes won was Nov. 30, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah, by a score of 3-1 (30-20, 29-31, 30-18, 30-17).

Scouting the Utes

Utah has a 9-17 overall record and is 4-13 in Pac-12 play this season after suffering a pair of losses to No. 7 California and No. 3 Stanford last weekend at Crimson Court. Utah lost in five sets to No. 7 California, 3-2 (25-22, 19-25, 25-23, 18-25, 13-15), on Thursday. For the first time this season, five different Utes hit double-digits in kills, including a group of four who tied for the team lead with 11 kills apiece. Utah lost to No. 3 Stanford, 3-0 (18-25, 22-25, 18-25) on Saturday as it was outhit .234 to .113. The Utes are led by Erin Redd and Danielle Killpack, who average 2.72 blocks per set between the two of them.

Colorado (5-18, 0-15)

Series History vs. Colorado

Before the 2011 season, Arizona and Colorado had only met one time. On Sept. 14, 1990, the Wildcats defeated the Buffs, 3-0 (15-8, 15-10, 15-13).

Scouting the Buffaloes
Although the Buffs have not won a Pac-12 match, they took sets from Stanford and California last weekend. Stanford and California both defeated Colorado, 3-1. The Buffs are led by Kerra Schroeder, who averages 4.03 kills per set.
