TUCSON, Ariz. - The No. 26th ranked Arizona woman's tennis team fell to second-ranked California, 6-1, Friday at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.

Earning Arizona's point in singles play was sophomore Laresa Marino who defeated Jenny Lee, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3, at the No. 6 position. At the top spot, 62nd-ranked junior Michelle Gough fell to 38th-ranked Anita Kurimay, 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles play the 19th-ranked duo of Gough and sophomore Lindsay Blau upset 7th-ranked Claire Curren and Amy Jensen, 8-4.

Arizona returns to action tomorrow at noon against top-ranked Stanford, at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.
