?Gronkowski (top), Grigsby,
Dean and Crier
Gronkowski, who earlier this week was named a Freshman All-American by Rivals.com, and Grigsby are true freshman, while the other three redshirted the 2006 season.
UAˇ?s starting tight end throughout the year, Gronkowski has 26 receptions for 496 yards and five touchdowns. He could set a UA tight end receiving yardage record this week against Arizona State with 18 yards to break the mark of Mark Keel (36-513) set in 1980.
Dean is the Catsˇ? third-leading receiver with 34 grabs for 393 yards and a score. Baxter took over the starting left guard role in the second game and hasnˇ?t let go, playing nearly every snap since as a tough guy on the interior. Grigsby also took over the starting role part of the way through the season and has responded with a UA freshman-record 682 yards on 152 carries, plus 29 pass receptions.
Crier, named second-team All-America earlier this week by Rivals, is the Pac-10ˇ?s leading punter with a 43.5 yard average, and enough hang time and help from the coverage unit to give Arizona the leagueˇ?s best net punting figure at 38.1.
The magazine picked Washington quarterback Jake Locker as its offensive Pac-10 freshman of the year and USC defensive end Everson Griffen as the top young defender.
