UA Women's Basketball Player Earns Academic Honor

Arizona women's basketball player Krista Warren has earned honorable mention Academic All-Pac-10 laurels, announced the league office on Wednesday. To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.

Warren, a junior wing, led the Wildcats in rebounding this season, with a career-best season average of 8.1 boards per game. She also averaged 8.2 points per game and played in 24 contests. Warren is majoring in visual communications graphic design.

The Wildcats finished 14-14 overall and 10-8 in Pac-10 play, tying for sixth place in the league standings.
