TUCSON, Ariz. - University of Arizona men's basketball head coach Lute Olson announced Tuesday that redshirt freshman Andrew Zahn has decided to transfer to another institution.

Zahn, a 6-foot-9, 254-pound forward from Redondo Beach, Calif., averaged 0.9 points and 0.9 rebounds in 16 games last season. He initially joined the program in the fall of 2000 and sat out the 2000-01 campaign as a redshirt.

He averaged 5.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in Arizona's recently-completed 10-game tour of Australia. On the tour, Zahn reached double figures in points and rebounds one time each and scored the winning basket in Arizona's 115-113 overtime win over the Sydney Kings on June 1.

Following Zahn's departure, Arizona will return 10 letterwinners for the 2002-03 campaign.
