Tucson, Ariz. ?- The University of Arizona women’s basketball team has teamed up with Parent Aid to bring some holiday spirit to a needy Tucson family.  The Wildcats will deliver food and gifts to a family of seven during Thanksgiving and Christmas this holiday season.

“We are very pleased to have the opportunity to share the holidays with a family that needs our help,” head coach Joan Bonvicini said.  “The holidays are about sharing, and we want to make sure this family has a wonderful holiday.”

The Wildcats will deliver a Thanksgiving meal to the family on Wednesday, Nov. 22, and will bring gifts to the family with six children under the age of 10, right before Christmas.

Established in 1990 with the gracious support of the Exchange Clubs of Tucson, Parent Aid has partnered with over 1,400 families and positively impacted more than 4,000 children by helping to eliminate the risk factors that lead to child abuse. Bringing a new hope to families in need, while opening opportunities and allowing children to realize a happy and thriving childhood, Parent Aid continues to "bear the risk and dare to care."

Arizona will host NC State on Friday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. in McKale Center.
