TUCSON (AP)?-Arizona’s Ivan Radenovic made up for two Wildcat starters being out with injuries to score 35 points for the Blue’s 93-81 victory over the Red in the team’s annual intra-squad scrimmage on Thursday night.

Wildcat leading returning scorer Marcus Williams, who averaged 13 points per game, did not play because of a sprained ankle. Starting center Kirk Walters also sat out after suffering a concussion before fall practice began.

Williams could return by Arizona’s exhibition game against Team Georgia on Nov. 4. The status of Walters is still to be determined.

Radenovic provided eight points in the opening three minutes of the second half to break open a close game to take a 51-41 lead.

Radenovic connected on seven of his first eight shots overall in the second half. He also had 10 rebounds.

Jawann McClellan added 22 points, while Mustafa Shakur had 14 points and 13 assists. Daniel Dillon had 11.

True freshman Nic Wise led the Red team with 22 points. Fellow freshman Chase Budinger added 20, while J.P. Prince contributed 17.

Wise brought the red back from an early 14-point deficit by scoring 12 first half points, including a three-pointer than trimmed the lead to 26-21 with 8:35 left.
