TUCSON, Ariz. - Preliminary match-ups for the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer were announced Monday.
Arizona will host Valparaiso on Monday, Nov. 7, and Duquesne on Wednesday, Nov. 9, in McKale Center. Both games will begin at 7 p.m. MST and be televised nationally by ESPNU.
These games make up the first of four contests the Wildcats will play in the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer, as the UA already announced a pair of doubleheaders at Madison Square Garden on Thursday-Friday, Nov. 17-18, along with Mississippi State, St. John's and Texas A&M. Each of those games at MSG will be televised by ESPN2.
The semifinal match-ups, scheduled for Nov. 17, feature Texas A&M vs. Mississippi State at 7 p.m. EST, while St. John's faces Arizona immediately following.
Winners will meet in the championship game on Nov. 18 at approximately 7 p.m. EST, while the consolation game is slated to start at 4:30 p.m.
Arizona returns three starters and 11 letterwinners from last season's club that posted a 30-8 record, won the Pac-10 regular season championship and advanced to the NCAA West Regional final.
