TUCSON - The Arizona softball team has added a doubleheader to its schedule to help replace six games lost to rain earlier in the season. Arizona will play New Mexico in a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 18, beginning at 11:00 a.m. PDT.
Arizona has met New Mexico 28 times in program history, with Arizona holding a 27-1 series advantage. The clubs last met in 2010 when Arizona swept a three-game series in Albuquerque.
The Lobos (22-10) lead the country with 1.84 home runs per game.
The double-header is not part of current season ticketing, so tickets will need to be purchased separately for admission.
Softball season ticket holders have until noon on Friday, April 13, to purchase their seats for this double header. Tickets can be purchased online, over the phone, or in person at McKale Center for a special season ticket holder rate of $5 each. This $5 price is for all areas (reserved and general admission) and all price categories (adult, senior, youth). In addition to this special rate, athletics will waive the delivery fee for season ticket holders.
Any unsold reserved seats, as well as general admission seating in Candrea's Corner, will be made available for the public to purchase online beginning Friday, April 13, at 5pm. These remaining seats will be sold at the normal single-game prices.
