TUCSON - Jade Lindly broke a no-hitter with a one-out solo home run in the sixth inning off Arizona's Alicia Hollowell and OSU's Lauren Bay took care of business in the circle for the Cowgirls, shutting down UA's bats for a two-hitter and a 1-0 victory over the top-ranked Wildcats in Friday action in the Worth Arizona Invitational tournament.

Lindly's hit was the first ball hit out of the infield and the only hit off Hollowell (7-2), who struck out 14. Bay topped that by striking out 15 for OSU (5-4), and dropped Arizona to 14-2 overall.

Autumn Champion led off the bottom of the first with a high bouncer to second and just beat the throw for an infield hit, which held up as the only hit in the game through five innings. Courtney Fossatti singled to short in the sixth for the only other hit off Bay.

Mackenzie Vandergeest drew a one-out in the UA seventh, but Bay struck out Jackie Coburn and got Shelly Schultz to ground to second for the final out.

Bay improved to 3-2 on the season.

The loss was Arizona's first in its various pre-season tournaments since the 2000 season when it lost to No. 2 Washington, 1-0, on Feb. 5, 2000.
