Cats Travel to San Diego for Battle

TUCSON - The University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf team will continue the spring season with the Battle at Rancho Bernardo. Held at the Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Resort and Spa, competition will take place Sun.-Tues., March 18-20. The Rancho Bernardo Inn is a par 72, 6,312/6,267-yard course.

Teams will play 18 holes each day of competition. Tee times start as early as 8 a.m. (PDT) from the No. 1 and No. 10 holes on Sunday and Monday. Tuesday's round also features tee times but begins at 7:30 a.m.

Live results are available at golfstat.com. A complete recap and results will be available at ArizonaWildcats.com after each day of competition.

Competing this weekend will be No. 41 San Diego State, No. 6 Arizona State, No. 15 Arizona, No. 19 California, No. 63 Coastal Carolina, No. 34 Denver, No. 69 Long Beach State, No. 62 Miami, No. 47 New Mexico, No. 22 Pepperdine, No. 3 USC, No. 28 Texas, No. 12 Texas A&M, No. 39 Tulane, No. 54 UNLV, No. 18 Washington plus individuals (rankings according to golfstat.com as of March 7, 2012).

Seniors Isabelle Boineau, Nikki Koller and Margarita Ramos and freshmen Manon Gidali and Andrea Vilarasau will play for the Arizona team this weekend. Junior Kyndall Ardoin will compete as an individual.

Arizona is currently ranked No. 6 by the Golfweek/Sagarin Poll (3/11/12), No. 16 by Golfstat (3/14/12) and No. 10 by the Golf World/NGCA Coaches' Poll (2/29/12).
