On the loss to Washington State:
"We played very well in a lot of parts of the game. Defensively, we took (Jason) Gesser out of some of the things he wanted to do, but he still completed a high percentage of his passes, and he made the big plays for them in the second half."
On Arizona's running game:
"Ideally, we would like to have 40 runs and 45 passes, but right now, we don't have the ball enough to get that kind of balance. We also don't have the same kind of production in the running game. But, I think that we can get more (yards rushing), and that we should expect more from ourselves."
On UA's next opponent - Oregon State:
"Oregon State is a much improved team since last year. Their defense was one of the best that we played against last year. They are physical, tough, and they get to the ball. Offensively, they have a new quarterback, and he has played very well and very solidly so far."
On Arizona's outlook for the rest of the season:
"It is tough when you play hard and don't win the game. We put everything into winning games, and we are not going to be satisfied unless we win games. We were very close last night, but we all know that's not good enough."
