Arizona Men?s Tennis Match Postponed Due to Rain

Palo Alto, Calif. ?- The No. 26 Arizona men’s tennis (5-1) match against Stanford, at the Taube Tennis Center, on Friday Feb. 11, was postponed today due to rain. The dual match was halted during singles play, after Stanford secured the doubles point, and is expected to resume action Sunday Feb. 13, at 11:00 a.m.

 

To begin action this afternoon, the No. 18 ranked duo of senior Colin O’Grady and junior Roger Matalonga fell to the No. 2 ranked pair of Sam Warburg and KC Corkery, 8-5. In the No. 2 position, junior Daniel Andrus and freshman Bruno Alcala defeated Phil Sheng and Eric McKean, 8-5. To secure the doubles point, senior Paul Warkentin and freshman Claudio Christen fell to Jon Wong and James Wan, 8-1.

 

The Wildcats will continue action Saturday Feb. 12, as they will head to California for a 1:00 p.m. start. Sunday, Feb. 13, the Wildcats will conclude their match against Stanford, first serve at 11:00 a.m.
