LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Arizona softball team has arrived in Louisville, Ky. in preparation for the Regional round of the 2009 NCAA Softball Championship.
After leaving from McKale Center at 1:30 p.m., the team headed directly to the executive terminal at Tucson International Airport, where they boarded their ExpressJet charter flight and departed at 2:55 p.m.
A 3:12 minute direct flight to Louisville International Airport and a 15 minute bus ride placed the team in their hotel around 9:30 p.m. local time (ET).
A light rain has been falling around the Louisville metropolitan area, and the National Weather Service is predicting isolated and scattered thunderstorms through Saturday.
Still, the Wildcats will practice at 10:30 a.m. ET Thursday at Ulmer Stadium on the campus of the University of Louisville.
Up Next: The Cats will play their first game of the Regional round against the University of Tennessee at Martin at 4 p.m. ET (1 p.m. Tucson time) on Friday. The game will be broadcast locally on KCUB 1290 AM, with David Kelly describing the action.
