TUCSON – Seniors Jay Goldman and Borja Malo along with David Humphreys and Frank Chen will represent the Arizona men’s tennis team this weekend when they travel to Las Vegas to compete at the 2010 Larry Easley Memorial Classic, Oct. 29-31.
“It’s that time in our fall season where we should be both well conditioned and match tough,” said head coach Tad Berkowitz. “So I expect good things from the guys this weekend.”
The four Wildcats will compete against six other schools: Arkansas, Auburn, Boise State, Cal Poly, NAU and host UNLV.
The tournament will consist of one flight of doubles where Malo and Humphreys will team up to compete and two flights of singles with consolation flights in both. Play is slated for Friday at 9 a.m. PT and will continue through Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the campus of UNLV.
Flights will be determined Thursday.
This will be Chen, Goldman, and Humphreys third tournament of the fall season while Malo will compete in his second tournament.
