TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona freshman volleyball player Madison Kingdon was named to USA Volleyball’s A2 All-Tournament team after her stellar play at the National Championships this weekend in Dallas.
Kingdon, a spring semester early enrollee who will play as a freshman in 2011, led the USA A2 Red Team with 16 points, including 15 kills on a 48 kill percent.
The only player on the A2 national team to have played high school last fall, Kingdon joined USC’s Natalie Hagglund, California’s Tarah Murrey, Texas’ Ashley Bannister and Oklahoma’s Brianne Barker on the All-Tournament A2 team.
As well as being on the collegiate A2 national team, Kingdon is also on the USA Junior National Team and will be one of 12 players representing the United States at the FIVB Women’s Junior World Championships this summer held July 20-31 in Peru.
