TUCSON, Ariz. ?- Arizona Women’s Tennis senior Dianne Hollands was named ITA Senior Player of the Year for the West Region.

UA Head Coach Vicky Maes said, “Dianne is obviously very deserving of this award.  She has been our highest ranked player all year, and although this award is for her athletic accomplishments; she is just as accomplished in the classroom.  We have been very pleased with the way Dianne has represented the program and the university in her four years with us.”

Hollands has amassed a 99-55 singles record over her four years at UA, going 25-16 this year.  Ranked as high as No. 7 individually this year and No. 1 in doubles, Hollands   The New Zealander earned a winning singles and doubles record in each of her four years in Tucson.

Hollands was selected to play in the NCAA singles and doubles championships, which will be held in Athens, Ga., May 25-28.  National winners will be announced in Athens on the evening of May 22.  Draws have not been announced.
