TUCSON - University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf will continue the spring season with the PING/ASU Invitational, hosted by Arizona State. Held at ASU Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Ariz., competition will take place Fri.-Sun., April 12-14.

With one round played each day, tee times are scheduled for 8 a.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. ASU Karsten Golf Course is a par 72 over 6,223 yards.

Sophomores Patricia Garcia, Manon Gidali and Andrea Vilarasau and freshmen Janie Jackson and Anna Kim will play for the Arizona team this weekend. Sophomore Kendall Prince will play as an individual. Individually, Gidali is ranked No. 24 and Prince is ranked No. 46 by Golfweek/Sagarin (4/7/13).

No. 3 Alabama, No. 7 Arizona, No. 13 Arizona State, California, Colorado, No. 2 Duke, Oregon, South Carolina, No. 16 Stanford, No. 22 Texas, No. 25 Texas A&M, TCU, No. 15 UC Davis, No. 11 UCLA, UNLV, No. 1 USC and No. 9 Washington will play in Tempe, Ariz. this weekend. Last time out, with a runner-up finish from Gidali, UA earned a second-place finish at the SDSU Farms Invitational. Arizona finished second with an 896 (+32) and rounds of 306, 298 and 292. Just one stroke out of the lead, Gidali earned a runner-up finish in the field of 81. She fired rounds of 72, 76 and 70 for a score of 218 (+2). She now totals 10 rounds at or below par on the season. Gidali moved from tied for fifth to second on the final day of play.
