FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Sophomore Margarita Ramos finished in 5th place with a two-round total of 7-under par, leading Arizona to a 10th place finish at the Mason Rudolph Women's Championship, Sunday afternoon at the Legends Golf Club.
The Wildcats finished the rain-shortened event at even par after shooting 2-over par 290 on Sunday to couple with a 2-under team total on Friday. USC won the team title with a 36-hole total of 16-under par, edging Pac-10 rival UCLA by two shots.
Ramos recorded her career-low tournament total thanks to a 3-under round of 69 on Sunday. She carded five birdies for the second-straight round, adding just one more bogey to her total from Friday's 68. Ramos ended up five shots off the lead, claimed at 12-under par by Jennifer Song of USC.
Isabelle Boineau finished in a tie for 25th place after ending the tournament at 1-under par. Two shots back of her was Alejandra Llaneza, who shot 73 on Sunday to finish at 1-over par. Senior Brittany Benvenuto shot her second-straight round of 78 to finish one spot ahead of freshman Kyndall Ardoin, who bounced back with a 1-over total of 73 after struggling through her first collegiate round.
Arizona will be back in action on Monday, October 5 at the Windy City Collegiate Championships, an event hosted by Northwestern University in Glenview, Ill.
