The Arizona Wildcats and the Ole Miss Rebels will meet for just the third time on Thursday night. This week's trip will mark Arizona's first to Oxford, Miss. as both previous match-ups were contested in Tucson. Last season, Arizona used a 19-2 second half run and held off a late charge to earn a 65-59 win over visiting Ole Miss. The two teams played a very even first half with the defenses ruling the day. The Rebels took a one-point lead into intermission when LaKendra Phillips hit a 12-foot jumper with just over a second to play. At the start of the second half, Arizona turned up its intensity and put together the second half run that eventually led to the win.

Freshman Candice Warthen had a stellar outing in the 71-49 win over Northern Arizona on Monday. Listed at just 5-3, she grabbed 13 boards and also scored 12 points for her first collegiate double-double. Of the 10 Wildcats that played in the 71-49 win over Northern Arizona, all had at least two rebounds and all scored at least two points. Statistical leaders with Soana Lucet for points (15), Warthen for rebounds (13), Shanita Arnold for assists (nine) and Davellyn Whyte for steals (three).
