"A lot of people thought that Sean's retirement would come with his kidney replacement, but he was very determined at that point to show that it (a return to the NBA) could be done and make a statement for anyone that would face it in the future.
"Sean has had a tremendous career. He's been a great asset to Tucson at Cholla High and the University of Arizona and San Antonio as well. He's been one of the most-liked players since he arrived there. The great thing about Sean is that he is still the same person today that he was when I first met him. He's always cared so much about the community and done a wonderful job of giving back. It's a testament to the quality of person that he is to have enjoyed so many successes both on and off the court."
