LOS ANGELES ?- The No. 24 Arizona volleyball team fell in four games to No. 5 Southern California (20-30, 27-30, 32-30, 17-30) tonight. With the loss, the Wildcats, which were out-hit .274 to .170 on the match, fall to 12-8 overall and 4-6 in Pacific-10 play.
Senior Jolene Killough and junior Bre Ladd led Arizona with 11 kills apiece. Killough added a team-high five blocks, while Ladd also had 11 digs and four blocks. Junior Jennifer Abernathy notched nine kills, and junior Kim Glass and sophomore Meghan Cumpston added eight kills each. Cumpston also had a team-high 13 digs on the match.
Junior setter Stephanie Butkus dished out 47 assists to go along with 10 digs for her sixth double-double of the season. Meanwhile, senior libero Kelli Mulvany finished with 12 digs.
Arizona plays at No. 12 UCLA at 7 p.m. tomorrow, Oct. 30.
