Cats Return to Practice as Fall Camp Winds Down

TUCSON, Ariz. ?- The Arizona football team completed its 17th practice of fall camp Friday morning at the Rincon Vista complex as the players returned to practice field after taking a well-deserved day off yesterday.

The players wore full pads and continued to work on their basic individual drills, special teams, 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 situations. During the 7-on-7 passing segment, sophomore quarterback Richard Kovalcheck completed eight out of nine passes. Junior Adam Austin completed five out of six passes, including three to tight end Ryan Kilpatrick. Freshman Willie Tuitama Completed his only pass attempt. Freshman linebacker Ronnie Palmer broke up two passes during the drill.

The Wildcats went through an hour-long 11-on-11 period working on various situations, including a goal-line segment to close practice.

The team is scheduled to practice again this evening at 6 p.m. Fall practice will conclude tomorrow night with Meet the Team events, including a live scrimmage. Practices will be closed to the public beginning Monday.
