TUCSON, Ariz. - Arizona women's basketball will play in six televised Pac-12 Conference regular season games, the Pac-12 announced on Thursday.
The Pac-12 Network will televise the Wildcats' contests at Washington on Sunday, Jan. 6, at Utah on Friday, Jan. 18, at UCLA on Friday, Jan. 25, vs. Arizona State on Friday, Feb. 22, at Arizona State on Sunday, Feb. 24 and vs. USC on Friday, March 1.
In addition, the Pac-12 Network will televise the Pac-12 Tournament's first round, quarterfinals and semifinals, while ESPN2 will show the finals.
Pac-12 teams will see a considerable increase in exposure, up from its 20-game television package in 2011-12. The schedule includes games featuring three NCAA Final Four teams, five NCAA Tournament participants and 10 postseason teams, in all.
"This year marks a big moment for our women's basketball teams and their fans," said Larry Scott, Commissioner of the Pac-12. "With our new television deal with ESPN and the launch of Pac-12 Networks, we have made a commitment to provide women's sports the exposure that it has lacked and that its student-athletes deserve."
