TUCSON -- Arizona newcomer Kenzie Fowler tossed six innings of a combined no-hitter and Matte Haack hit a third-inning grand slam as the Wildcats defeated Yavapai College, 12-0, on Sunday afternoon.

Fowler struck out 14 Roughriders and issued one walk in her first collegiate action. Ashley Ralston-Alvarez, seeing her first inning in a UA uniform, pitched the Yavapai seventh and struck out one.

Haack was one of six Wildcats to tally at least two hits as Arizona scattered 16 of them in the game. UA scored nine runs in the third inning, highlighted by the Texas native's grand slam that wowed the more than 1,000 in attendance.

Sophomore Kristen Arriola hit a two-run jack in the fourth, and Karissa Buchanan plated the second baseman with a single in the sixth to complete Arizona's scoring.
