TUCSON, Ariz. -- Arizona started out the second half of Pac-10 play and completed a regular season sweep of Washington State with a 73-66 win, Thursday evening in McKale Center.

Freshman guard Davellyn Whyte led all players with 20 points to highlight a solid all-around effort. She also tallied 6 assists, 5 steals and 5 rebounds as she posted her 9th game with at least 20 points on the season.

One game after being dominated on the boards by Stanford to the tune of a 52-22 rebounding deficit, Arizona posted a 48-38 edge on the glass. Sophomore guard Reiko Thomas posted a career-high 11 boards, matching teammate Ify Ibekwe for game-high honors, as Arizona claimed 19 offensive rebounds that led to 20 second chance points.

With a 3-point halftime cushion, Arizona surrendered its cushion after just 2:06 after KiKi Moore completed a brief six-point spurt. The teams traded the lead six times in the second half, then were knotted at 48-48 at the 13:04 mark before the Cats pulled away.

A 13-2 run over the next 6:56 gave Arizona a 61-50 advantage, started and finished with short jumpers by reserve forward Amanda Pierson. Ibekwe also got her offense going during the game-clinching stretch, converting a trio of jumpers along with a free throw.

Despite committing 24 turnovers, Arizona limited Washington State to just 36.2 percent shooting (25-of-69), including a 7-of-28 clip from three-point range. The Wildcats had all eight players score as they shot 43.5 percent for the game.

Soana Lucet was 8-of-13 from the field and finished with 18 points and 5 rebounds while Ibekwe added 12 points to her 11 boards.

April Cook had 13 points to lead Washington State (5-16, 0-10). Moore and Carly Noyes each added 11 points while Katie Madison tossed in 10 points.

Arizona (10-10, 4-6) hosts Washington on Saturday, February 6 to wrap up the two-game homestand with tip-off slated for 12:00 p.m. The Huskies (9-11, 4-6) dropped a 67-61 overtime decision at Arizona State on Thursday in Tempe.
