Arizona Diving Looks Strong at Trojan Invitational

Senior Omar Ojeda places first in the one and three meter events

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Arizona diving team is in Los Angeles for the Trojan Invitational this weekend. Also participating in the meet are Brigham Young, California, Colorado State, Fresno State, UCLA, UCSD, Southern California, San Jose State and Stanford.

For the Arizona men's diving team senior transfer Omar Ojeda placed first in both the one and three meter events. In the one meter event Ojeda scored 376.50 points and on the three meter he scored 609.90 points. Senior Arno Bergstrom placed third on the three meter (503.35)and freshman Josh Anderson placed fourth (498.85).

On the women's side Senior Lindsay Berryman placed third on the three meter with 468.45 points and fifth on the one meter with 237.20 points. Senior Adrian David placed fourth on the one meter with 257.50 points and fifth on the three meter with 431.50 points.

Placing first on the women's one and three meter events was USC's Nicci Fusaro scoring 281.95 points and 493.70 points respectively.

Tomorrow will be the last day of competition at the Trojan Invitational.
