BERKELEY, Calif. ?- The Arizona volleyball team (9-6, 0-3) opened its contest at No. 7 Cal (14-1, 3-1) with a two-point victory in game one, but couldn’t sustain the momentum over the course of the match as the Golden Bears won the next three frames to send UA to its fourth straight loss. Game scores were 28-30, 30-26, 30-18, 31-29.

The Wildcats struggled offensively, committing 34 errors on 156 attempts in the match, leading to a .096 attack percentage.

One bright spot for the Cats was the play of sophomore Randy Goodenough, who finished the match with a career-best 15 kills on .286 hitting.

The Golden Bears were led by middle blocker Morgan Beck, who finished with 11 kills on .409 hitting and added six total blocks on the night. Teammate Angie Pressey led all players in the match with 18 kills and also added 15 digs.

Arizona will return home and host No. 3 UCLA and No. 5 USC at McKale Center next Friday and Saturday. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
