The University of Arizona hosts the Worth Wildcat Invitational.  Here are the results from day two...

Saturday, Feb. 18

9 a.m. Tennessee Tech 2, Pacific 1

Pacific (2-4) scored its first and only run of the game in the top of the second, off of a Kristen Allen hit-by-pitch and a Lizzie Hagen RBI-double. The Tennessee Tech (3-2) bats were quiet until the bottom of the fourth inning, when the Golden Eagles scored two runs off of three walks and a single.

11 a.m. No. 18 Missouri 3, Pacific 2

Missouri's Jen Bruck (3-2) and Pacific's Kristen Allen (0-2) engaged in a scoreless pitcher's duel until the fifth .an two outinning, when Pacific (2-5) started a two-out rally off of a Mizzou (3-3) error. Mandy Hickman reached second off of a throwing error and eventually scored on a Gina Carbonatto. Mizzou stormed back in the top of the sixth, as Kathy Masterson socked a tcwo-out, three-run homer, giving MU a, 3-1, lead.

Pacific's Gina Carbonatto came within several feet of hitting a game-winning two-run homer, but ended up just short.

 1:30 p.m. Texas Tech 8, No. 18 Missouri 3

Missouri (3-4) scored one run in both the first and second innings, but gave up seven to Texas Tech (3-5). The Red Raiders had eight extra-base hits, including a pair of two-run homers by Heather Parker. Missouri scored one run in the fifth inning, but could not overcome its deficit to Texas Tech.

4:10 p.m.  No. 3 Arizona 6, Texas Tech 0

6 p.m. No. 3 Arizona 6, N.C. State 0

8 p.m. North Carolina State 8, Tennessee Tech 0

N.C. State used back-to-back-to-back home runs in the fourth inning to propel itself to an, 8-0, victory over the defending Ohio Valley Conference champs.
