TUCSON, Ariz. -
Hey Wildcat fans! It has not hit me that the season is coming to an end yet. I cannot believe that we have only 8 conference matches left. As a senior, this is a tough reality to face.
Tonight is a special night for both me and the Arizona Volleyball team. Kim Glass is being inducted into the Hall of Fame, and her jersey will be retired during intermission at tonight’s match. She is one of the best volleyball players to ever play at the University of Arizona, and a true idol for all players that come to play at U of A. For those of you not familiar with Kim’s outstanding career at Arizona, check out the article written earlier this week on arizonawildcats.com: http://www.arizonawildcats.com/sports/w-volley/spec-rel/110211aad.html
Tonight we take on the Oregon State Beavers. The first time we took them on I had a season high 21 kills. I am hoping to do that again this time around. This game is really important for us to make the NCAA tournament. We have to perform, and show up tonight to get the win. I am so excited for the game tonight, and I want it to set the tone for post season play. We also play Oregon on Sunday. During our last meeting, I felt like we should have won but fell to them in three sets. I am ready for this second opportunity to take down the ducks!
Homecoming weekend is exciting for everyone around campus, and we look forward to seeing alumni players and all our fans out to support us at this weekend’s matches.
