TUCSON – Arizona Athletics is calling for a RED OUT for Saturday’s men’s basketball game vs. UCLA. The game will be played in front of national TV (CBS) audience and a packed McKale Center crowd. The Wildcats will debut their Nike Hyper Elite Platinum uniforms. Fans are encouraged to wear red as a sign of unity and to help create a memorable atmosphere for the 2011/12 home finale.
Nike Elite Platinum Elite – Free Shirts For Students
Arizona is one of only nine schools to receive the Nike Elite Platinum uniforms. Other eight programs to receive the latest and most innovative fit system include Baylor (women’s), Duke, Florida, Kentucky, Syracuse, Connecticut (men’s and women’s) and North Carolina. The shorts are made from 100 percent recycled polyester while the jerseys are made from at least 96% recycled polyester. Nike will offer fans an up close look at these uniforms with a special display case inside the McKale Center on Saturday. Nike is also providing free Platinum Elite Brightened t-shirts (in red) to the first 1,500 ZonaZoo members. The retail value of the t-shirt is $32. Arizona’s five departing seniors will be honored in the traditional postgame Senior Day ceremony. Fans are encouraged to remain seated after the game and help honor the careers of Kyle Fogg, Alex Jacobson, Brendon Lavender, Jesse Perry, and Dondre Wise.

Fans attending the Arizona vs. UCLA men’s basketball game will receive a special ticket offer to check out the Arizona vs. Auburn baseball game at Hi Corbett Field. Fans can bring their Arizona/UCLA basketball ticket to the Hi Corbett Field box office and receive 50% off the adult ticket price (regular price is $8) for Saturday’s baseball game. The Wildcats and Tigers will play in doubleheader at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. This ticket promotion is good for either game and fans attending the 2:00 p.m. can stay for the 6:00 p.m. for no additional charge.
