LAS VEGAS, Nev. ?- The Arizona women’s golf team finished their final tournament of the fall season in fourth place.

“I am really please with the effort that our girls put forth this week,” Head Coach Greg Allen said.  “This was our best tournament of the fall by far and I am really looking forward to seeing what we can do in the spring.”

The Cats were in second place out of the 16-team field entering today's play.  The fourth place finish marks the highest for Arizona in the fall season.

Freshman Amanda Wilson finished the tournament tied for fifth place with a -3 (213).  Joining Wilson in the top 10 was fellow freshman Lauren Espinosa who shot a -1 (215), finishing tied for ninth.

Senior Cassandra Kirkland shot a +4 (220) and finished tied for 24th place.  Lani Elston-Marshall finished tied for 35th place with a +7 (223).  Whitney Welch finished +11 (227) and tied for 48th place.

Competing as an individual Rachel Gavin shot a +15 (231) and finished tied for 55th place.

“Today we had a great first half, kind of the opposite of yesterday, but I am not going to let our sub-par finish bring us down,” Allen said.  “This was a great way to close out the fall season.”

The Cats will next tee of Feb. 13-15 at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif.
