JUNIOR (2000-01): Earned first-team All-America nods in three relays (400 free relay, 200 medley relay and 200 free relay) and one individual event (50 free) at the 2001 NCAA Championships. A member of the third place 400 free relay team which touched the wall at 3:17.26... Also a member of the fourth place 200 medley relay team (1:39.44) and the fifth place 200 free relay team (1:30.62)... At the 2001 Pac-10 Championships placed second in the 50 free at 22.72 and seventh in the 100 free at 50.55... The fastest Wildcat on the 2001 team in the 50 free (22.64).

YEAR-BY-YEAR (2001): A member of the World Championship Australian National Team... Traveled to the World Cup Meets in Bisbane and in Mellbourne... Winner of the 50m long course title at the Australian Long Course Championships in Hobart... 2000: A part of the Australian National Team... Attended the Australian Olympic Trials, the World Cup meet and the Australian long course Championships... 1999: Participated in the Australian short course championships... 1998: Participated in the Brazilian Long Course Championship meet... 1994-1997: Participated in the European International Schools Championships.

Kenyon College FRESHMAN (1998-99): Holds the NCAA Division III 50y freestyle record.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated in 1997 from AISZ in Zurich, Switzerland... Played softball, soccer, track and field and swam in high school... Team captain in 1996 and 1997 in swimming and in 1997 in soccer and track and field.

PERSONAL: Michelle Engelsman... Born 12/09/79 in Brazil... Daughter of Tom and Virginia Engelsman... Father played Aussie rule football and waterpolo, and mother competed in track and field... Sister Stephanie, swims for Tufts University... Won the senior photography award in high school... Was also on the honor roll and received an honors diploma in high school... A chemistry major with hopes of being in medicine or teaching.
