TUCSON, Ariz. ?-Arizona senior point guard Dee-Dee Wheeler has received an invitation to the WNBA Draft Camp. The Chicago native will participate in the camp Friday-Sunday, April 8-10, in New York City.
An honorable mention Associated Press and Kodak All-American, Wheeler finished her career as Arizona’s second all-time leading scorer with 1,966 points. She also ranks first in the Wildcat career record books in games played (124), games started (118), minutes played (4,032), minutes per game average (32.5) and steals (304), and ranks in the Top 10 in 13 other statistical categories.
Wheeler led this year’s team to a win over Oklahoma in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats then fell to No. 1-seed LSU in the second round.
