TUCSON, Ariz. -- Due to rain, Saturday's game between the No. 1 Arizona softball team and No. 18 Baylor has been postponed.
Sunday's game has been rescheduled 1 p.m. (originally set for noon). The teams also will make up the rainout with a game scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday.
With rain expected in the Tucson area on Sunday, if that game is missed the two coaches agreed to play a doubleheader at 12 noon Monday.
The rainout might have delayed UA senior pitcher Alicia Hollowell's bid to establish an Arizona record for career pitching victories. She's currently tied with former Honda Award winner and UA assistant coach Nancy Evans at 124. UA coach Mike Candrea has basically been altering Hollowell and sophomore Taryne Mowatt in series starts. Hollowell won Friday night, but no lineups were turned in before the postponement so the starting nod was unknown.
