TUCSON--The Wildcats and Sun Devils will face off Saturday in Arizona Stadium before a national audience on ESPN, statewide pre- and post-game features on UA television partner FS Arizona and a capacity crowd of more than 57,000.

James Francis, UA assistant director of athletics for ticketing, said almost all tickets to 57,400-seat Arizona Stadium have been sold with the exception of scattered singles and any tickets returned by ASU from its allotment. If any of those remain after business hours Friday they will be sold at the Stadium box office beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Pioneer Las Vegas Bowl representatives confirmed Thursday that the winner of the Territorial Cup game in Tucson will advance to that bowl Dec. 20 -- if Southern California beats UCLA earlier on Saturday. An unexpected loss by the 10-1 and No. 5 Trojans to 4-7 UCLA would push the Pac-10 bowl picture into a different scenario.

Arizona (6-5) and Arizona State (5-6) have enough on the line with the Territorial Cup, the nation's oldest recognized trophy for a rivlary game. It first was awarded to the victor in 1899. ASU, too, needs a victory to earn bowl eligibility while Arizona has clinched a postseason appearance but would fall to the Sheraton Hawaii bowl Dec. 24 with a loss.

ESPN and FOX Sports Arizona both will televised the game, with FS Arizona also providing half-hour shows before and after the game, whick kicks off at 6:06 p.m. MST.

The crowd Saturday will push UA season attendance above 364,000 for the year, the third-best total in history, and give the program a per-game gate of around 52,000.
