Jashell Mitchell enters her first year as the Coordinator of Basketball Operations for the Arizona women's basketball team. She spent last year as the seventh grade girls basketball coach at Donnell Middle School in Findlay, Ohio. Mitchell participated in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA)/Nike "So You Want to Be a Coach" program at last year’s Final Four in Boston. Mitchell also served in administrative/operations roles for the Morris Peterson, Mateen Cleaves and Robaire Smith basketball and football camps in Flint, Mich.

From 2003-05, Mitchell served as an operations/administrative assistant for both the men’s basketball and football teams at her alma mater, Bethune-Cookman.

A native of Flint, Mitchell was a four-year letterwinner in basketball at Bethune-Cookman, and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She earned a bachelor of science degree in physical education/recreation in 2005.
