3.30.12 PING/ASU Invitational Notes Get Acrobat Reader

TUCSON - The University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf team will continue the spring season with the PING/ASU Invitational. Held at the ASU Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Ariz., competition will take place Fri.-Sun., March 30-April 1. The ASU Karsten Golf Course is a par 71, 6,099-yard course.

The 54-hole tournament will be played over the course of three days, with 18 holes played each day. Tee times for Friday will begin at 8 a.m. PT, with golfers teeing off on holes one and 10. On Saturday and Sunday, tee times will begin at 7:30 a.m. PT.

The field for the tournament features nine teams ranked in the top-25, according to Golfstat, and five top-10 ranked teams. Competing this weekend will be No. 5 Arizona State, No. 20 Arizona, No. 8 LSU, No. 49 New Mexico, No. 11 Oklahoma State, No. 50 Oregon State, No. 45 San Diego State, No. 42 Stanford, No. 29 Texas, No. 12 Texas A&M, No. 39 TCU, No. 26 UC Davis, No. 1 UCLA, No. 53 UNLV, No. 3 USC, No. 7 Vanderbilt, and No. 23 Washington (Golfstat rankings as of March 21).

Seniors Isabelle Boineau, Nikki Koller and Margarita Ramos and freshmen Manon Gidali and Andrea Vilarasau will play for the Arizona team this weekend. Junior Kyndall Ardoin will compete as an individual.

Arizona is currently ranked No. 13 by the Golfweek/Sagarin Poll (3/25/12), No. 19 by Golfstat (3/28/12) and No. 10 by the Golf World/NGCA Coaches' Poll (2/29/12).
