TUCSON , Ariz. (AP) ?C Chase Budinger led No. 17 Arizona with 22 points, while Jerryd Bayless added 20 for a 96-73 victory over Team Georgia in an exhibition game on Thursday.

ˇ?Weˇ?re a young team with a lot of freshmen and sophomores playing,ˇ± interim head coach Kevin Oˇ?Neill said.? ˇ?Weˇ?ll have ups and downs, even during games we will have ups and downs.? This team is going to play well at times.ˇ±

Oˇ?Neill started a pair of sophomores ?C Budinger and Jordan Hill ?C who were complimented by two freshmen; Bayless and Jamelle Horne.? The quartet combined with three other frosh and sophomores who came off the bench to provide UA with a few ups and downs in its final exhibition matchup.? UA trailed Team Georgia, 7-0, three minutes into the game before out-scoring its opponent by 17 in as many minutes to close out the half.

In the second half, Team Georgia cut its deficit to four, 61-57, with 12:05 to go in the contest, but the Wildcats would score 32 of the gameˇ?s final 48 points over the gameˇ?s last dozen minutes.

Bayless had four free throws and Horne had a short jumper during the Wildcats spurt. Horne finished with 16 points and nine boards.

Budinger and Horne tied for a game-high nine rebounds apiece, as UA cleaned up the boards despite playing a much more physical squad of former collegiate players.

Arizona had Daniel Dillon hit a three-pointer to put an end to a 12-2 spurt for the Wildcats to take a 73-59 lead with 9:24 remaining to pull away.

Budinger was the shooting star in the first half, leading the Wildcats with 17 points to take a 45-35 lead.

Arizona started out making just two of its first 10 shots before heating up with Budingerˇ?s three-pointer with 5:52 remaining giving the Wildcats a 10-point cushion.
