SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Senior Tarquin MacManus' individual medal led Arizona to a second place finish in the Wyoming Cowboy Classic. MacManus shot a 66 (-4) in round three to take home the one-stroke victory.

Arizona shot its lowest round of the tournament, a 276 (-4) to sneak it into red numbers for the tournament, 839 (-1). The placing was the highest since a Feb. 8 victory at the Anteater Invitational. MacManus' individual medal was the first for the Wildcats this season.

The Cats finished three strokes behind winner Baylor. The Bears had the lead entering the day and would not relinquish it. Colorado State finished third at one-over. UC Davis shot the best round of the tournament, a 272 (-8) to move to fourth place at three-over. Colorado and Nevada were 14-over and finished tied for fifth.

MacManus finished with a score of 202 (-8), one stroke better than Joakim Mikkelsen of Baylor and second-round leader Zahkai Brown of Colorado State. UC Davis' Austin Graham was five-under and finished fourth. There was a four-way tie for fifth.

Four Wildcats carded rounds under par on the day, highlighted by MacManus' 66 (-4). Erik Oja shot a 68 (-2) and Jonathan Khan shot a 69 (-1). Competing as an individual, Juan Pablo Hernandez shot a 69 (-1). Khan and Oja each recorded top-20 finishes, tying for 15th at one-over. It was Oja's third top-20 finish in 10 events this season and the fifth time for Khan in 11 tries. Tye Beall tied for 38th at seven-over and Stefan Cox tied for 65th. Hernanez shot a 222 (+12) for the tournament and tied for 71st.

The Wyoming Cowboy Classic was contested at the Talking Stick North Course in Scottsdale, Ariz. The North Course is a par 70 and measures 7133-yards.

The tournament concludes regular season play for the Wildcats, who will travel to Palo Alto, Calif., later this month for the Pac-10 Championship. The event will be April 29-May 1.
