INDIANAPOLIS -- The University of Arizona will host an NCAA Softball Championships Regional Friday through Sunday, May 21-23, at Rita Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium.

Teams in the region include at-large selection Oklahoma State from the Big 12, Hofstra University, Colonial Athletic League champion, Ivy League champion Cornell and Arizona, an at-large selection. Arizona is the lone national seed in the region, at No. 10 overall.

Game times Friday feature Oklahoma State (43-14) vs. Hofstra (43-10) at 4 p.m., followed by Cornell (37-13) vs. Arizona (43-11) at 6 p.m.

Arizona is making its 24th consecutive appearance in the NCAAs, dating to 1987, head coach Mike Candrea's second year in Tucson. Candrea has won 22 Regionals and eight national championships.

Arizona has been an initial-rounds host 14 times, and Super Regionals four times. If the bracket holds up as seeded the Cats would be on the road for Super Regional action at Austin, Texas, against No. 7 seed Texas.
