TEMPE, Ariz. -- Freshman Kenzie Fowler hit her first career grand slam and pitched a three-hitter as Arizona took the State Farm Territorial Cup Series finale from Arizona State, 14-2 in five innings, Saturday.
Arizona now leads the State Farm Territorial Cup Series with an overall margin of 8.5 to 3.5.
Fowler's blast - her second home run of the season - came with the game well out of reach in the fourth inning, when UA (30-4, 2-1 Pac-10) had already built a 6-0 lead.
Lauren Schutzler chipped in four RBI of her own, highlighted by a three-run homer in the fifth.
Fowler (20-2) struck out six and walked three in the complete game.
Leslie Rogers hit a home run in the fifth to put a two-spot on the board for ASU.
The Sun Devils (32-6, 1-2 Pac-10) went through a trio of pitchers, with Sam Parlich (6-3) taking the loss the day after defeating the Wildcats. She allowed seven hits and four runs, but struck out two. Senior Megan Elliott fared the worst, allowing six earned runs and walking three in an inning of work.
Arizona returns home to Hillenbrand Stadium to take on UTEP in a non-conference doubleheader Wednesday at 4 p.m.
