TUCSON, Ariz.- The fourth-ranked Arizona volleyball team recorded its school record eighth consecutive Pac-10 win with a 3-1 victory over Arizona State in Tempe, Saturday night. The victory improves the Wildcats' record to 16-3 overall and 11-3 in the Pac-10.
Junior Lisa Rutledge was outstanding for the Cats in the win, tallying a match-high 22 kills and a career high 25 digs. As a team, Arizona out-hit ASU .213-.177 and out-dug them 108-101. Stefani Saragosa, Shannon Torregrosa and Jill Talbot all finished with double digit kills for the cats and senior Dana Burkholder dished out 65 assists. Freshman Kelli Mulvany double here career mark in digs, posting 22 for the Cats.
The Wildcats return to action next week with a trip to the Washington to face the Huskies and the Cougars.
