Previous Game: Last Sunday, Arizona (3-3) traveled to Tempe to participate in the Sun Devil Desert Classic. The Wildcats dropped its opening match against Pepperdine in a 2-1 decision and picked up a victory against Houston in a 2-1 win over the Cougars. In the triumph against Houston, freshman Hannah Wong led the team with four total shots on goal while both Julia Glanz and Jazmin Ponce each registeredtwo shots on goal. Goalkeeper Gabby Kaufman registered a total of seven goals during the tournament.

Noting the Panthers: Florida International (3-2-1) was both on the road and at home this previous weekend in match ups against Louisiana State (3-1-2) and Idaho (2-6-0). While on the road to Louisiana, the Panthers and Tigers tied 0-0 in a double overtime match. FIU junior Chelsea Leiva led the Panthers taking four shots with two on goal. In the match against Idaho, FIU came out on top in a 6-0 victory. Leiva led the Panthers with three of the six goals.

Noting the Lions: Loyola Marymount (5-2-1) was both on the road and at home this previous weekend in match ups against UCLA (5-0-1) and Idaho State (4-3). On the road to UCLA, Jenni Benger is the only Lion to score a goal in the double over time 1-1 tie against the Bruins. The Lions came out with a 2-0 victory while on home turf against Idaho State. Goalkeeper Brittany Jagger had five saves in the match.

Kaufman Ranks Third: Arizona goalkeeper Gabby Kaufman has saved a total of 26 goals in the six games she has played in. Kaufman ranks number three in the Pac-12 rankings with only allowing seven goals so far in the 2012 season.

Selman Continues to Inspire: The Wildcat women's soccer team will continue to wear a pre-game warm-up shirt with the No. 13 in honor of Lexe Selman, a member of UA's 2012 signing class. Selman recently finished up her fourth round of chemotherapy treatment for Leukemia, which she was diagnosed with on April 20 of this year. Vowing to Selman and her family to keep her dreams of playing at the collegiate soccer level alive, Arizona head coach Lisa Oyen has promised to hold a roster spot and number until she is able to play.

Up Next: The Wildcats travel to California to take on both California and Pacific. Arizona faces California on Friday, Sept. 21 at 2:00 p.m. and Pacific on Sunday, Sept.23 at 12:00 p.m.
