Arizona women's soccer team (0-1-1) tied on their first road match of the season with the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks (1-1-1), 2-2.

Senior Jasmine Namdar scored the first goal of the game in the 20th minute, assisted by junior Leila Amini.

Amini scored her own unassisted goal in the 73rd minute to tie the game after NAU scored two consecutive goals at the end of the first half.

NAU's first goal was scored as a result of a penalty kick taken by Sarah Neatherton in the 33rd minute.

Both teams were unable to capitalize on scoring chances in both overtimes, leading to the tie. NAU's Tori Howe took the last shot of the game with ten seconds remaining, but the attempt sailed wide.

"We were outplayed in most of the first half," said head coach Dan Tobias, "In the second half, we managed to defend the ball better. These are some positive steps for us, but we still have a lot more room to grow. Our best soccer is still coming."

The Wildcats have a chance to get a notch in the win column on Sunday when they return home to take on San Diego at 7 p.m. at Murphey/Mulcahy Stadium.
