2004-05 Season: Competed at the NCAA Championships fpr the second time in her career and finished 19th in the 100 butterfly (54.11)... Swam the third leg of an exhibition heat of the 200 medley relay (1:41.64) posting an ?'A’ NCAA qualifying time at the Pac-10 Championships... Also finished eighth in the 100 butterfly (55.34)... Against Texas and SMU, took fifth place in the 100 butterfly (56.42)... Finished second in the 100 butterfly against Stanford (56.96) and swam the third leg of the third place 400 medley relay... Against California, finished fifth in the 200 butterfly (2:10.24)... Tied for third place in the 100 butterfly against Northwestern and Washington and swam the third leg of the second-place 200 medley relay... Against Oregon State, finished third in the 100 backstroke (59.53)... At the 2004 Texas Invitational, finished fourth in the 100 butterfly (54.00)... Against UCLA, took third place in the 100 butterfly (56.41), fifth place in the 100 backstroke and sixth in the 200 butterfly... Placed second in the 100 butterfly against USC (55.71)... Against Wisconsin, finished third in two events including the 100 and 200 butterfly.

 

2003-04 Season: Swam the third leg of the second-place 200 medley relay and finished 11th in the 100 butterfly (54.96) at the 2004 Pac-10 Championships... Placed fifth in the 100 butterfly (56.56) and ninth in the 100 freestyle (52.50) against Texas... Finished fifth in both the 100 and 200 butterfly against California. Also anchored of the second-place 400 free relay and swam the third leg of the third-place 400 medley relay...Against UCLA, swam the third leg of the first-place 200 medley relay and placed fourth in the 100 butterfly (56.80)... Finished fourth in the 200-meter (LC) butterfly (2:27.71) against USC...Finished third in the 100 butterfly (56.90) during the season opener against Wisconsin.  

 

2002-03 Season:  Three-time All-American in 2003... Part of a 200 medley relay that finished fifth at 2003 NCAA Championships... Also helped the 400 medley relay finish seventh and the 200 freestyle... Swam the third leg of the 200 medley relay at the 2003 Pac-10 Championships, finishing fourth... Also placed 11th in the 100 butterfly (54.51), 14th in the 100 backstroke (57.01), 14th in the 200 butterfly (2:02.64) at Pac-10s... Won both the 100 butterfly (56.01) and the 200 butterfly (2:04.60) against Arizona State... Was 11th in the 200 butterfly (2:04.56) at the 2002 Texas Invitational... Against Wisconsin, placed second in the 200 butterfly (2:05.76) in her first collegiate meet... Mary Roby Academic Achievement Award winner.

 

Prep:  Lettered twice swimming at Coronado High School in Colorado Springs, Colo. ... All-Colorado selection as both a freshman and a senior... Team Most Valuable Athlete those same years... Set the state record in the 100 butterfly... Set school records in the 100 butterfly, 100 backstroke, 50 freestyle 100 freestyle and 200 IM... Was the state champion in both the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly... Swam for the Air Force Academy Falfins club team out of Colorado Springs... Set a team record in the 100 backstroke...

 

Personal: Born Lisa Ann Pursley on July 7, 1984, in Canberra, Australia... Daughter of Dennis and Mary Jo Pursley... Father is the former director of U.S. Swimming... Older brother Brian swims at North Carolina State... Has three other younger brothers... Majoring in education.
