Arizona: 3L... Heavner enters his fifth season and fourth in UA’s program, and gives the Wildcats experienced depth at quarterback... Has a liking for new system, with 17 completions in 24 attempts for 168 yards in major spring scrimmages... Rejoined the team for spring ball 2006 and appeared in three games, arguably starting the OSU game (UA opened in an option set with Anthony Johnson under center)... Completed 70 percent of his passes... Finished the Stanford game for injured starter Adam Austin and helped lead UA to its first Pac-10 victory of the year...  Took 2005 after a year away from the game and a try at pitching for the UA baseball team ... Attended Baylor in fall of 2005 after lettering as true freshman and sophomore at Arizona... Played in six games as a sophomore in 2004, with starts in the first six games... As a true freshman in 2003, Heavner took over the starting QB job after the fourth game of the year and was one of six true frosh in Division I-A to start that season... Named Pac-10 All-Freshman by The Sporting News... Eight starts and set the UA freshman record with 1,501 yards passing, as were his 101 completions and 237 attempts, plus eight TD throws (tied)... Career-high 21 completions and 32 attempts against ASU, career-high 276 yards against TCU...


High School: Lyndon B. Johnson High School, Johnson City, Texas, 2003... First-team AP Class 2A All-State... PrepStar All-Midlands and SuperPrep All-Southwest... Dave Campbell’s Texas Football top 15 quarterback... All-district honors for four years... Threw for more than 5,300 yards and rushed for 1,600 more in his final three years... Senior year with 2,104 yards passing, 813 yards rushing and 18 touchdown throws... Also played baseball, basketball and track... Earned 12 letters...
