General:  Returns for his senior season with the knowledge of what it will take to elevate his game to the next level ... An excellent ball handler and passer ... Arizona is 40-10 (.800) in his career when Shakur passes out five or more assists in a game ... His perimeter shooting continues to improve .... Best effort was a six-point, two-rebound, two-assist performance in USA Basketball’s 87-64 win over Brazil on July 29 ... A first team Pac-10 all-Freshman selection ... Named to the USA Today High School Boys all-USA first team, an EA Sports All-America, an ABCD Camp All-Star and first-team all-state ... The Gatorade Pennsylvania Player of the Year ... A 2003 McDonald’s High School All-American (12th in Arizona history) who tallied nine points in 17 minutes of that March 26, 2003, all-star game ... Also played in the EA Sports Roundball Classic in Chicago on March 31, 2003, and posted 13 points, a game-high 12 assists, four boards and three steals ... A member of the 2003 USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team, which finished fifth at the World Championships with a 7-1 record ... Averaged 5.0 points, 1.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists during the eight-game tournament in Thessaloniki, Greece, where his best effort was a 10-point (4-of-7 FG), four-assist, five-steal performance vs. Slovenia on July 19 ... Averaged 18.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals to lead Friends Central to the Friends League title as a junior ... Also earned first team all-state and all-Friends League kudos, while claiming second-team all-city and all-public honors ... Attended Penn Charter as a sophomore in 2000-01 ...
