Women's Golf Claims Fifth at Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge

PALOS VERDES, Calif. ?- The Arizona women’s golf team finished fifth at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge on Wednesday.  The Wildcats carded a 299 (+15) in the final round to bring their 54-hole total to 907 (+55).


Pepperdine claimed the victory with a three round total of 882 (+30).  Misun Cho of Pepperdine also claimed the individual win with a five-over par 218.


Sophomore Adriana Zwanck finished seventh after carding a three-over par 74 in the final round, giving the Madrid, Spain, native a tournament total of 220 (+7).


Junior Mary Jacobs finished close behind her teammate with a total score of 221 (+8).  Jacobs carded a one-under par 70 in the final round to tie for eighth.


Junior Alison Walshe tied for twelfth after shooting a 73 (+2) on Wednesday.  The Westford, Mass., product totaled a nine-over par 222 after 54 holes of play.


Freshman Emily Mason finished in 75th place in her first collegiate tournament, carding a tournament total of 251 (+38).


Senior Rachel Gavin finished 78th after shooting an 82 (+11) in the final round.
