LAS VEGAS-The University of Arizona men's golf team notched its second consecutive team round of 5-over-par 293 Saturday in round two of the Las Vegas Collegiate at Southern Highlands Golf Club. Sophomore Chris Nallen leads the Wildcats after he matched his opening round of 72 to put himself in a tie for 14th place at even-par after 36 holes.
Georgia Tech maintained its position as the tournament's leader after Saturday's second round, the Yellow Jackets posted a team score of 12-under-par 276 to extend their lead. Camilo Villegas of Florida owns the individual lead at 7-under after two rounds.
Junior Reid Hatley shot 1-over-par 73 in Saturday's second and shares 18th place with four other golfers. Junior Ricky Barnes, from Stockton, Calif., also shot a second-round 73 and is tied for 32nd place.
Also scoring for Arizona were freshman Kipp Riehle and senior Tim Weiss. Riehle shot 3-over 75 in Saturday's round, while Weiss carded an 8-over-par 80. Riehle and Weiss are tied for 37th and 74th places, respectively.
Tournament action concludes Sunday with an 8 a.m. PST start.
